Week 4 & 5 response

This past two weeks have been a long. Mike and I met together to go over our budget with and set up our schedule. The best time to really schedule for shooting Midnight Radio is on the weekends. We also looked around online and checked out rental prices for equipment to create as realistic a budget as possible. For week 4 we discussed fundraising options to improve production quality and set design. We plan to implement a method used in Glen Packs 493 class that Cam Mchutchinson used. It turned out to be successful so we are hoping that it will work for us. I am excited to start shooting on the 17th we have a thorough schedule so it should not be hard to get rolling. For week 5 Mike and I got together to go over the track for our film and made a rough edit to present during dailies. We have most of the track figured out aside from a few accent pieces. We plan to add in some live sax and we are deciding on the vocals that we plan to use. We also talked alot about casting. Mike For the most part knows who he wants his main actors to be. There are one or two supporting roles we are still evaluating. I am also getting started with finding extras. I plan to post on facebook, twitter, craigslist and anywhere else Mike and I can think of to find our extras for our film. The only thing I am worried about is that they might want some form of payment. We need about 20-40 extras in order to get the shots and angles we want without having to force it. We also further mapped out ideas for set design and make-up. We have two particular people in mind that I plan to reach out to the week (week 6). It seems like everything is shaping up well for our shoot and I will be trying my best to stay in good health so we can create a awesome product.

Week 3

After getting everything together last week and having a good outline to look at I am very excited to begin marketing research and to start shooting. I think we will have a lot of work to do but nothing that isn't manageable. I also enjoyed looking into everyone else's project this week as well. I like the wide array of people in Zoƫ's documentary. With so many various backgrounds its bond to be a great piece. I am also really excited to see Robs first initial product since his outline was good but we don't know who he will be interviewing. I honestly can't wait to see everyone else's projects because they are all so different. It will definitely be a great class.

Week 2

This week Mike and I got together and worked on a few things. Mike had already did a lot of the script before we got together. For the most part he filled me in on what he did have. We also came up with some good concepts to add to the film. Im excited to see how those manifest themselves in the project. We also did storyboards. I did all of the drawing because Mike doesn't like drawing and I actually enjoy making storyboards as weird as that may be to others. We got a good idea for the theme and mood we wont to present as well as the environment. It real helped us get an idea for how we wont to propel the project. I believe Mike's vision for the project is great. I also feel like we can get it done in one semester if we really grind it out. I am definitely excited about the progress we have made and I can't wait to start shooting.
